Users are using longer search Queries

Hitwise have come up with some interesting data recently that confirms something we have suspected for some time. The long tail is getting longer, or in other words one and twoword queries are declining as a total of search whereas three and greater word queries are rising.Here are some of the figures:

What this points to is the trend towards more specific seach so Web site owners should concentrate on the specific content pages in order to capture more of the long tail.
