Google and Microsoft Product Launches

Google has been dominating both search news and offline news again. Google took advantage of the annual Pubcon gathering to launch of he Google Friend Connect API and add some improvements to others. You have to feel sorry (ok, not sorry but you get my drift) for Microsoft. They have also launched a number of products and initiatives to a pretty much uninterested market. The Microsoft Surface is a table computer which reminds me of the Tablet PC except on a bigger scale. Tablet like the Dodo never flew but maybe it will be more like the Xbox which was a success.  was to launch IE8 on the same day the UK and the Netherlands got Google Street View. Looking at the amount of comment and twittering Street View got and the yawn that IE8 got it has to make you wonder who is handling product launches in Microsoft?
